This is a tutorial for making layered crystal gem soaps. This is an intermediate difficulty soap, you should be solid with the fundamentals of melting, adding color and adding fragrance to clear soap before you try this.
This tutorial is intended to show the methods used to achieve the visual effects of this bar and to share the love of a type of soap crafting where there are no mistakes or wrong answers (provided you know how to make a solid layered soap).
Webmaster's Note:I thought this was the coolest
when I found it, immediately the thought popped into my head that if they
had soap this cool when I was a kid, my Mom would have had more trouble
getting me OUT of the tub than getting me INTO it!!
Kids are obsessed with these Silly Bandz, so it was only obvious that I had
to make some soaps with them. I was putting it off for a long time, but my
friend finally pushed to to do it, telling me what are you waiting for?
She was right, I was just too lazy.
